First Responder & Military Family Support

Lacey comes from a family with deep roots in first responder and military service and understands firsthand the unique challenges that often accompany these professions. First responders and military personnel work in high-stress environments that require resilience, rapid decision-making, and frequent exposure to difficult situations. Over time, these pressures can impact mental health, physical wellbeing, relationships, and family dynamics. Research shows first responders experience higher rates of stress-related health conditions, burnout, and behavioral health challenges than the general population, with some studies estimating that nearly 30% experience depression, anxiety, or PTSD. Through The Shift, Lacey provides coaching designed to support first responders, military personnel, and their families as they navigate the realities of this work and its impact on everyday life. Support may include: • Navigating the emotional and relational impact of high-stress careers • Strengthening communication and connection within families • Managing stress, burnout, and emotional regulation • Reintegrating into family life after demanding shifts or deployments • Supporting spouses and partners navigating the pressures of these professions This work is grounded in clinical insight, behavioral understanding, and deep respect for those who serve their communities and country. In many first responder cultures, strength and resilience are deeply valued, and seeking support can sometimes feel difficult due to concerns about confidentiality or career implications. The realities of this work rarely affect only the person in uniform. Spouses, partners, and families often carry the emotional weight of the job as well. The Shift offers coaching and support for both first responders and the families who stand beside them.

Initial conversations are complimentary, confidential, and focused on understanding your situation and exploring whether support through The Shift may be helpful.

First responders, military personnel, and their families receive coaching services at a reduced rate as a gesture of appreciation for their service.
